Forceful spell, availing Eurodice, swell,
And all went well; on way, in dwell,  
Until one day, a snaky bite, alas,  
Took his love away,  
Yeah, turned her into clay.  

Without her, he just wouldn't lay,  
So ol'e man, Orpheus, hit the way,  
To Hades, where the ever-living stay,  
There to bring back, his love of life  
    - Up to the day!  

So great was his song  
And his might conjuring:  
That at last he had his Eurodice;  
Well'n'swell as tell of Eld a,  
Fast'n'clad for the homeward Odyssey;b - !  

There was but one condition  
And now you all know,  
`Tis a tradition, that:  
"Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law."c  
So ever men takes such conditions to flaw:  

The mighty Hades, god of corporal perdition,  
Said, "Don't look back! Or you'll loose her,  
She'll turn to a hagd
- and rot ruthy wither e  
    I.e., return hither.".  

So ón Orpheus went  
Bent `twart the living,  
Muttering holy and heavenly thanksgiving,  
To the God of Wisdom and of Way a  
Who lead them lightly, not astray.  

But so the story say:  
The inner pulse of breaking rule and finding out  
Made Orpheus sway, -:  
He could not hear her,  
    - Was not sure;  
The God of Magick b  
Might him lure;  
He had to check,  
        Be sure: -  
The strain he didn't dure! c  

He turned to see, and lost this mode  
His love to all eternity, -  
And, alas, he: weary of life,  
Never ever more to think twice,  
Went to the lovers of Hunt'n'Cunt,  
Who feel on him as honey draws flies,  
(or "horny": "I"'s;) -  
Rode'n'Tore him limb from limb,  
And sent him to Paradise.  

- The moral ringing, choral bringing  
Learned floral order  
To that question of Life's border; - is:  

Man has always tried,  
But ever-living bodies were denied,  
Until one day, the Lord, our God,  
Would smile S M I2 L E, smile and say:  

"Ah! Ah! Death! Death!  
Thou shalt long for death.  
Death is forbidden,  
O man, unto thee." a  

And the Almighty God,  
Said unto the prophet,  
And thus unto man:  

"O my children, ye are more beautiful than the flowers:  
Ye must not fade in you season." b  

And God said:  
"I love you; I would sprinkle you  
With the divine dew of immortality." c  

And God assured thus:  
"This immortality is no vain hope  
beyond the grave:  
I offer you the certain
Consciousness of bliss." d  

And this is becoming  
An ever truer word;  
And was continued, thus:  

"I offer it at once, on earth;  
Before an hour hath struck upon the bell,  
Ye shall be with Me in the Abodes  
That are beyond Decay." a  

The Prophet himself,  
Rewrote the old Orphian play,  
    Brilliantly,  
    More elegantly
    And most eloquently,  
And with an exordium  
Of uttermost interest, I'd say.  

But now, let's lay away,  
And hear the spells;  
That the arch-magickian Crowley,  
Set up against the dread rulers of death; -  

Don't be afraid:
