The Master Therion I-Ching

Hexagram # 59

Hexagram 59. Huan
Dispersion (Dissolution)  HWAN

Dissipation; in the world of fools
The kingly man stands firm, divides and rules.

One needs a horse in this world's mob-mellay; a
One needs a refuge, a secure shrewd plan.
We must have knocks, nor mind them, in the fray b
Scatter the mob, and fill their bellies, man!
Good end forgets how badly it began.

a mob-mellay: "mellay" archaic for "mélée": "mixed fight, skirmish; lively debate."
In this context the word then must denote such a fight in the mob: "crowds of people fighting."
b fray: "the fight," "the battle."
